Fire Razes Shops, Goods Worth Millions in Diobu

No less than four lock up shops with goods worth millions of Naira were on Tuesday night, lost to an inferno at 92 Ikwerre road by Anozie Street, Mile 2, Diobu in Port Harcourt.

A source said affected shop owners traded in sporting wears, generator sets, rugs and almanac rim and paper.

According to eyewitness the fire which started around 8pm was caused by electricity spark from the high tension close to the sporting wear shop.

Our correspondent reports that youths of the area, fire service with support from Azikiwe Police Division, helped put off the inferno.
